Peacefully passed at home with her family by her side on Friday 19 June 2026; aged 90 years. Loved wife of the late Viv, loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Judy (Winton), Marie (Ashburton), Kerry and Neil Lamond (Perth), Cheryl and Harry Gregory (Invercargill), Barry and Marcia (Roxburgh). Loved Nana of her 10 Grandchildren and her 8 great Grandchildren. A service to celebrate Val’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Thursday 25 June at 2.00pm, the service will conclude with an interment at the Eastern Cemetery. You are welcome to join the service via livestream by going to the Avenal Park website obituaries page and clicking on the link on Val’s page. In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice South would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Val’s family wish to thank all the medical staff and carers who took care of Val. It is a celebration of life, bright colours are to be worn at Val’s request.

Loved husband of Betty, much loved Dad of John and Sheryle, Wayne and Helen, Sue, Bill and Anna, loved grandpa and great-grandpa of his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road at 2.00pm on Tuesday June 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations to FENZ Port Chalmers would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
