Passed away peacefully at Bupa Windsor Park Care Home on Tuesday September 29, 2026. Aged 93. Loved wife of the late Bob, dearly loved Mum of Stephen and Julie, Malcolm and Rosalie, Peter and Leanne, loved Nan to Jared and Jaydine, Hamish and Carol, Amie and Aaron, Katie and Cameron, Campbell and Jess, Simon and Adrian, Spencer and Bronte, Eden and Nic, loved great Nan to Evelyn, Violet, Walter, Jack, Fiadh, and Charlotte. Shirley will have a private interment at Waikaka Cemetery. A service to celebrate Shirleys life will be held on Friday October 2, at 2.00pm, in the St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Devon Street, Gore. MORRISON, Phyllis Marjorie (Marj)(nee Shaw):
Marj’s family have had the opportunity along with extended family and friends to celebrate Marj’s life and reflect on our many memories of her community, church and people contacts. We have been greatly supported by many people with visits, food, cards, telephone calls, email messages and your attendance at Marj’s celebratory funeral service. Your names haven’t gone unnoticed and times of reflection are created as we read your names and tributes. Thank you for everyone’s support at Marj’s passing and in the following days and weeks. Helen and family Thank everyone for your calls, visits, meals, and thoughtful messages sent from near and far. John would have been absolutely chuffed to read your messages. Thanks to Murray for his kind words from the Mataura Golf Club, and to the members who formed a guard of honour for John leaving the church. We certainly enjoyed our time at the club. A big thanks to All for your lovely hugs and smiles, and especially to my close friends at Bupa village for your support over the last few months. A special thankyou to Father Sani and our granddaughter Lisa for the lovely service to farewell John, and our sincere Thanks to Marie from Aurora for all her support and kindness. We are so grateful to all who have supported us over this time. John, too dearly loved to ever be forgotten.
