GORDON, Albert Maurice (Maurice). (Formerly from Gore and Lincoln). On July 1, 2018, peacefully at Burwood Hospital, Christchurch; aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Heather, much loved dad and father-in-law of Helen, Peter and Kristy, Neal and Sue, Jill and Ross, and Dave and Lesley. Special grandpa and granddad of Kodie, Brooke and Jock. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Noel (deceased), Evelyn and Fred, Ian and Elaine (deceased) and the late Pat, Graham and Trish. Special thanks to all the staff of Ward BG, Burwood Hospital. Messages to the Gordon family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. The Funeral Service for Maurice will be held in St Stephen’s Anglican Church, cnr James and Edward Streets, Lincoln, on Friday, July 6, at 1.30pm. Private cremation thereafter.

McRAE, Ian Robert. Passed away at Ascot Care Home on July 3, 2018, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Marion for 63 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Sandy and David Stevenson (Riversdale). Dearly loved Mac of Shane and Sarah (Gore); Holly and Jeremy (Wanaka). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society can be left at the service. A Requiem Mass for Ian will be held on Friday, July 6, 1.30pm, at St Therese of Lisieux, 40 Perth Street, Invercargill. CHIARONI,  Anthony William (Tony). Passed away peacefully, aged 93, on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Waiapu House, Havelock North. BROOME, Dorothy Anne (nee Eunson). Sadly, Dorothy has passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, June 29, 2018, aged 81 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Doris and William Broome, Ohai. Most treasured Mum and mother-in-law of Vicki and Jeremy Hay (Blenheim), and Lee and David Rathgen (Leeston). Cherished Gran of Sarah, and Will, and adored Grandy to Tom, Luke, and Ryan. Special thanks to all who were involved with her care. Following Dorothy’s wishes a private cremation has been held. McDONALD, Peter James. Aged 74 years. Peacefully after a courageous battle, on Sunday, July 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at Resthaven, Gore. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Bev for 50 years, loved and respected best Dad ever of Brent and Karyn, Karen and Geoff Wallis, and fun loving Grandad Pete of Andrew, and Luke; Jordan, and Nadia.

A service of celebration for Peter’s life will be held in the RSA Function Lounge, Bowler Avenue, Gore on Wednesday, July 4, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. MACGILLIVRAY, Olive Gertrude. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Loved wife and best friend of Owen for 57 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of David and Sandy, Leanne, and Craig. A service to celebrate the life of Olive will be held in the Winton Presbyterian Church, on Friday, July 6, at 1.30pm, followed by a private interment.
