John passed away February 21, 2022 at St Helena’s Rest Home, Christchurch, where he was staying while under going radiation treatment. He was in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Lorna. Dearly loved brother and brother in law of Florence (dec), Ritchie (dec) and Fay, Margaret and Harry Chandler (dec), Eileen and Bill Brown (dec), Charlie (dec) and Shirley, and June and Bob Armstrong (dec). Much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, especially Jude and Rob Dunnill, and Ian and Jan Ballam and their families. Dear friend of Diane and Moray Sutherland. Special thanks to the staff at Elloughton Gardens. A Memorial Service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 2.00pm. MASON, Sandra Elizabeth:
Peacefully in her own time at Vickery Court on Sunday 20 February 2022; aged 67 years. Loved daughter of the late Alf and Mary Mason, loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Russell, Lorraine and Brian Wilmot (Christchurch), Margery and Ross Elliotte (Lumsden), Shirley and Wayne Glendining (Alexandra), Rodney and Allison (Bannockburn), and Gary and the late Helen (Otautau). Adored Aunt Sandy of all her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A private service to honor Sandra’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Wednesday 23 February at 1.30pm with a private cremation to follow. MORRISON, Rona May:
Peacefully after a short illness, Rona gently passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. At her home in Riverton surrounded in love by her family. Loved daughter of the late Mary and Kenneth Turner. Dearly loved wife of the late Spencer Morrison, his children and extended family. Wife of the late Bill Haig and loved mother of Billy and Jules, Steven and the late Hiria, Tony and Helen, Richard and Jan, Milton and Angelique and the late Martin. Loved and cherished grandmother of Trinity and Caitlin; Christina, Kellyanne and Rona; Oakley, Tyson and Vincent; Morgan, Ashley, Pretoria, James and Taimoana; Molly and Lily and loved Great-Grandmother of her 13 great-grandchildren. Dearly loved Aunty of Lyle and Ron Watson and family and her extended Taranaki whanau. A special thanks to the Longwood Rest Home for the kindness and care they extended to Rona and her family during her time there. Rona is resting at home with her boys and a private service will be held due to Covid Restrictions. Once the border is open and we can all be together we will celebrate Rona’s life together then. Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Sunday, February 20, 2022, aged 49 years. Dearly loved son on Noeline and the late Jim. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Greg and Nicola, and Rachel and Phil. Loved Uncle of Mitchell and Jake.
