Peacefully after a short illness at Southland Hospital on Saturday, 11th June 2022, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Heather. Dearly loved father and father-in- law of Diane and Andrew McLean, Cheryl and Steven Butler, and Alastair (Australia). A loved Grandad of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren and a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Wednesday, 15th June at 1:30 pm, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. (Unexpectedly) on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at home, in his 91st year. Loved husband of the late Helen. Much loved father of Jane (Dunedin), and Peter (Dunedin). Loved son of Laurie* and Heather* Whyte. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Joan* and Eion Jackson (Gore), loved brother-in-law of Marion* and Colin Davenport (Picton), Forrest and Joan McDougall (Waikawa) and a much loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
