CHALMERS, David Alexander (aka Shiny):
Aged 80 years. After a very short but fierce battle, the Mighty Oak has fallen, and heaven welcomed another angel. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Lesley*. Father and Grandfather to Wendy and Antony, Jessie, Blake, and Dylan; Lynette*, David, Susan and Brynley, Cameron*, Matthew, Hayden and Katelyn. A beloved brother and brother-in-law to Marie and Graeme*, Graham and Erin, Colin, Alan and Margaret, Lorraine and Bill, Norma and Russel. Treasured Uncle and Great-Uncle to Karen and Mark, Grace and Emily, Trevor and Kaia, Jenny* and Steven, Leanne and Ben, Kerrilee and Dean, Mitchell, Mackenzie, Harrison and Lucy, Fiona and Mark, Cameron and Myah, Steven and Angela, and a special friend to many. We wish to thank our extended family and friends, for your unblemished love and support during this journey. Privately cremated as per his wishes, and after one last holiday in Australia, David and Lesley’s ashes will join Lynette at Charlton Park. LAWSON, Hugh Stewart:
Peacefully with Fay by his side at Rowena Jackson Rest Home on Monday, 6th June 2022, aged 88 years. Deeply loved and devoted partner of Fay and husband of the late Heather. Much loved father and father-in-law of Tony and Alison (Christchurch) and Dean and Tamara (Australia). Adored Grandfather of Gregor, Callum, Georgia, Aria, Bailey, Sienna, and Catalina. A service to celebrate Hugh’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Friday, 10:00am, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. Peacefully at home on Sunday 5 June 2022; aged 51 years. Dearly beloved son of Anne and the late Ted, father to Samuel, and loved brother to Rachael, and Juliet. Lyall unexpectedly left our lives on 7 June 2022. Adored and cherished son of Imelda and Peter; stepson to Tracy Taylor. Dearly loved grandson of Margaret* and Lindsay Faulkner, and Muriel* and Neil* Sutherland. Dearly loved nephew, cousin, and friend to all. Dearly loved companion of his animal family – pussycat Jay, rabbits Gin and Frivoli and bird Jhi. Lyall loved being a member of the many pipe bands he played in.
