COCHRAN, Elizabeth Mary. (1946 – 2019) Liz passed peacefully in Christchurch on February 5, 2019, after a brave battle. Beloved wife of the late Bill, dedicated mother, guardian and companion of Jane, mother and mother-in-law of of Anna and Simon (Hawkes Bay), Mark and Lucy (Christchurch), Kate and Campbell (Dunedin) and John (Christchurch) and Granny to Emma, Sid, Tom and Kate Drinkrow; Oli, Ed and Paddy Cochran; Walter, Charlie, Matilda and Henry Savage. Many thanks to the staff of Village Palms for their unfailing compassion, kindness and tolerance. Messages may be addressed to The Cochran Family, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A service to celebrate Liz’s life will be held in The John Rhind Chapel, entrance from London and Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, Tomorrow (Friday), February 8, at 2.00pm.
KIRK, Ian William. Late of Sparbush, Southland. On February 5, 2019, peacefully at Iona Home, Oamaru, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Robyn. Grateful thanks to the staff of MacKay and Kirkness Wards at Iona Home for their wonderful care of Ian. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service to celebrate Ian’s life will be held at the Orwell Street Church, Oamaru, on Saturday, February 9 commencing at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. McENTYRE, Michael Desmond. Peacefully at Southland Hospital with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, aged 68 years. Dearly loved husband of Val. Respected Step-Dad of Debbie, John, Michael, Nathan and their partners and loving Grandad of all his Grandchildren and his three Great Granddaughters and one Great Grandson. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret & Noel Curtin, Peter & Gloria McEntyre, Sue & Jeff Anderson and brother-in-law of Bev & Brian Evans, Robert & Sandra Mellor, Terry Mellor, and Jenny & Bill Boon.
