CHISHOLM, Hazel Lorraine:
Hazel passed peacefully after a 2 year struggle on Tuesday 30th August 2022, aged 91 years, and is now reunited with her beloved husband Jim. Loved mother, mother in-law, and grandmother to the late Pamela and Martin, and Annalise Wynn (Tauranga), Maree and the late Maurice Walker, and Murray. Sister to Irene Becroft (Australia), the late Phylis Warden, and the late Rob Soper. A service for Hazel will be held at 2pm, on Friday 2nd September 2022, at Lindisfarne Community Church, 22 Lindisfarne Street, Invercargill. HUGHES, Rita (Margaret June):
Peacefully in the care of Rowena Jackson Retirement Village on Wednesday, 31 st August 2022, aged 94 years. Wife of the late Frank. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Margaret, Ted & Dianne* (Aust), Irene & Charles Shanks, and Mike & Joanne. A precious Nanny Rita of Natasha & Derek, Tammie & Jason, CJ & Bec, Michael & Zoe, Angus*, Letitia & Greg; loved Mrs. H of Jaycob, and Taylar, and an adored Nanny Rita of all her great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Rita’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Friday, 2nd September at 10:00am, the service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. KIRKWOOD, Sybil Catherine:
Peacefully in her sleep on August 31, 2022; in her 88th year. Dearly loved wife of the late David. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Janice and Rory, Robyn and Bruce, and devoted Grandma of George. A celebration of Sybil’s life will be held at Caversham Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, September 3, at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. The family request that masks be worn at the service. Aged 89. Loved partner of Leone, Father of Michelle* and Michael. A hard worker who started life in NZ market gardening in Tuatarpere before moving to Auckland.
