David John Boyle 68 years young, passed away suddenly on the 9th of May. Beloved and cherished Dad and best mate to Jemma, Grace and Logan. Cherished and loved by Gail, mother of his girls. Adored partner of Rowan Slocombe. Eldest son and son-in-law of the late Margaret and Joe Boyle, and Doris Hammond. Brother and brother-in-law of Maryann and Leon Angell, Michael, Patrick and Lee, Kevin and Tania Boyle, and the late Wayne Hammond. Loved Uncle and Pop to many. Dave will be at home with his girls from Friday morning. A service to celebrate David’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Monday 16 May at 2pm followed by private cremation. MATHIESON, Rena Margaret (Peg) (nee Graham):
Formerly of Wanaka. Passed away in Dunedin on Friday, May 6, 2022; in her 98th year. A founding and life member of the Upper Clutha Historical Records Society Inc. with a passion for local history. Much loved wife of the late Jim, loved mother and mother-in-law of Pamela and Hugo Croci, Joan and Ian Archibald, Robert Mathieson, Helen and Steve Walker, Sarah and Danny Hailes; loved Grandma of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. The family thanks all those individual carers and nursing staff that have helped care for Peg over recent years. A private family service is to be held as per Peg’s wishes. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by whanau, on Tuesday 10th May 2022, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Veronica. PHILPOTT, David Leonard (Dave):
On May 10, 2022, passed away suddenly at Christchurch Hospital, aged 64 years. Loving partner and soulmate of Bev Diamond, loved father of Taylor, and Aaron, loved stepfather of Leanne and Dave, Chris, Ashley and Sheree, loved Poppa Dave of Amelia; Piper; and Miley. Loved brother of Heather, Elizabeth, and Warren, and their families, and loved brother-in-law and friend to Bev’s extended family.
