AYLING, Barbara Leslie (nee Jack):
Unexpectedly but peacefully on Wednesday 2 September 2020; aged 61 years. Dearly loved wife and soul mate of Chris, deeply loved mother and mother-in-law of Miranda and Leslie, Rochelle, and Darin and Hannah, lovingly adored Nanny of Xavier, Zac, and Eva. Much loved daughter of Allan* and Doreen Jack, loved sister of Lynette Jack, loved daughter-in-law of Noel* and Elinor Ayling, loved sister-in-law of Annette and Trevor Fulton, a much loved aunty of her nieces. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Tuesday 8 September at 11.00am, the service will conclude with a burial at Eastern Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions this service will be private by invitation only to 100 family and friends. HARRIS Matthew Dale and HARRIS Ruby Jane:
Tragically taken as the result of an accident on Wednesday 2nd September 2020, aged 22 years and 5 and a half months. Adored partner and baby daughter of Brooke. Much loved son and granddaughter of Cathy and Jason, Stephen and Annaleigh. Loved son in law and grandaughter of Dona and Brendan. Dearly loved brother of Laura, Samuel, Luke, Jack, Finn, Brad and Adam. Loved brother in law of Courtney, Jaimee-Lea and Dave and Uncle of Arthur. Ruby was an adored addition to our family and was dearly loved by everyone, especially her dad who will be forever looking after her. Loved grandson and great granddaughter of Ngaire and Ron*, Barbara* and Adrian*, Steph* and Hummy, Jamie and Bernadette, Margaret, Glenys and Pete. Loved nephew, niece, and cousins of their extended families. Matthew was well known for his wonderful nature and he was dearly loved by his mates. Dearly loved Nana of Matthew and Melissa, Logan and Bridgette, Nathan and Abby, Tony (Abu Dhabi), Ryan and Katie, Jasmine and David Knight, Jared and Pip (London) and step Nana to Haeden, and Macaela and loved great Nana of Lucas, Isaac, Maddison, George, Eli, Harry and step great Nana to Maeson. 12/10/1951 to 03/04/2020, A service to celebrate our Mum, wife and Oma will be held on Thursday 10 th September 2020, 1.30pm at the Avenel Park Funeral Home, 75 Fox Street Invercargill. Thank you to the many people who attended Bill’s service that we did not get to speak to. To the wonderful staff at Rowena Jackson, Donavan and Salisbury wings, our grateful thanks to you all for the special care you gave Bill during his long illness, you are very special people. Special thanks to Karl Lamb for conducting the service, also thankyou to the people who spoke about their memories of Bill’s life. A huge thank you to the helicopter pilots, Sir Richard Hayes, Gaven Burgess, Dale Green, Snow Mullally, Andrew Hefford, Fraser Sutherland, Kim Hollows and Jonathan Wallis for the wonderful tribute flyover for Bill at the cemetery also a very special thank you to Toby Wallis for taking Bill on his last helicopter flight. Thank you to the Te Anau Volunteer Fire Brigade, members of Fiordland Search and Rescue and Fiordland Aero Club for forming the guard of honour for Bill. Aged 95 years. Olive, Linda, Gloria, Jan, and families, wish to thank our family and friends who attended Mum’s funeral service. We greatly appreciate all the flowers, many cards, and baking, that were given to us. Special thanks to Bevan from J Fraser & Sons, Lynley McKerrow our very caring celebrant, Karen our organist, Amy and Todd for the photo presentation, and Aunty Sylvia for her support throughout our time at the Hospital with Mum, and funeral arrangements. We thank RDN for their amazing care and support with Mum over the last few years. Also to Wallace’s Chemist and Dr Tabitha Luecker for their care of our Mum, and Southland Hospital staff who cared for Mum in her last few days. We appreciate all the support, love, hugs and tears, we have received at this sad time for us all.
