A private family service to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held on Saturday, February 5, followed by private interment at Eastern Cemetery, Rockdale Road, Invercargill. Peacefully, at Lady Diana Isaac Retirement Village on January 30, 2022, aged 95. Dearly beloved husband of the late Doris Joy (Joy). McLEAN, Malcolm Bruce:
9.8.1947 – 30.1.2022
In Cromwell, after a short illness, aged 74. Formerly of Dunedin, Sydney and Urunga (Australia) – more recently Luggate and Cromwell (Central Otago). Second son of Maude and Roy (both deceased); brother to Gregor, Brent and Alison, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle to their families; husband (ex) of 28 years to Vernette. Malcolm was a friend to many, a Green Island FC member and Otago Rep in football and softball in his youth; handy with a hammer, avid reader and outdoors sports enthusiast – and winner of many a pub raffle! Malcolm lived his chosen life to its fullest. Malcolm was privately cremated on February 2, 2022 – and in keeping with his wishes, Malcolm’s ashes will be scattered near Luggate. “Chasing gold, in them thar hills …”
