BLACK, Ronald David Alexander (Ron). (Peacefully in his sleep) on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at his home, Gore. Loving husband and friend of Heather for 53 years. Loving Dad of Wendy and Gary Weir (Gore), Grant and Tanya (Auckland), Nathan and Sandi (Australia), much loved Grandad of Nicole, and Mitchell; Maddi, and Sophia; and Alyssia. A loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle of all his nieces and nephews, and special friend of Harley the dog. At Ron’s request a private cremation will be held. FRIENTZ, Diane Joy. Peacefully after a long illness at Hospice Southland on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Loved wife and best friend of John. Loved mother of Daniel and Nick. Youngest daughter of Amy Larkins and the late Bert Larkins. Sister and sister-in-law of Catherine and Trevor Wilson, Paul and Sandra, Patricia Larkins and Stephen Moller. Sister-in-law of the late Graham and Maureen Frentz, Joyce and Robert Challis, Allan and Ann Frentz, Heather and Rex Nola, Marlene and John Thortan. A loved Aunty to all her nieces and nephews. As to Diane’s wishes a private graveside service will be held.
