Head Swim Teacher Retires After 22 Years

On Friday (1st February) Splash Palace Head Swim Teacher Marie McQueen retired after 22 years of teaching Swimming Lessons and running the Splash Palace Swim School .

Southland has been very privileged to have had Marie over these years, she has developed not only the Swim School that has a Swimming New Zealand Gold Star rating but also the ILT Schools Swimming Progamme. We can only imagine the number of students Marie has taught and overseen during this time but are thankful they have all been given an important life skill. We would like to thank Marie for her dedicated service and wish her all the very best in retirement, its now time to relax and spend time with your family.
