BAIKIE, Isabelle Florence (Nana Buzz) (nee Brookland):
Peacefully at Dunstan Hospital, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, 10 days short of her 95th birthday. Dearly loved wife of the late John (Jack), very much loved Mum and Mother-in-law of Russell and Philippa (Dunedin), Alice and Brian (Alexandra), Alistair and Eamonn (Auckland), Trish and Phil (Invercargill), loved Nana of Anthony and Susan; Andrew and Leah, Timothy and Lynmarie; Jodi and Steve; Scott, Jackie, and Ben, and loved Nana Buzz of Adam, Luke; Madi, Noah; Mahaileyah, Jack; Isabel, Michael, Alistair, Lewis; Dylan, Hunter; Payton, and Tyler. A very much loved sister and Aunty. A private cremation was held in Alexandra, on Thursday, October 8, as per Buzz’s wishes. We will be having a Rememberance Service in December/January which will be announced later. Anyone who would like to make a donation in Buzz’s name to the Cancer Society please feel free to do so. BLENNERHASSETT, Nancy Kathryn:
Died peacefully after a short illness, aged 73, in Tauranga Hospital. Beloved wife of Alistair, mother of Erica and Raymond, and grandmother of Zoe and Abi. The funeral service for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, October 14, at 10.30am, at Legacy Gardens, 53 Te Okuroa Drive, Papamoa. Peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at home in Cromwell. Dearly loved husband and soulmate to Karen Infinity, and dearly loved and cherished father to Nikayla and Matt. Dearly loved son and son-in-law to the late Beryl and the late George, and Joan and Allan Wilson. A loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle to all his family in both Australia and New Zealand. SCANDRETT, Jane (nee Byars):
Peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Oakwoods Retirement Village, Richmond, aged 96 years. Loved wife for 58 years, of the late Jack, and much loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Ann (Wanaka), and Anne and Warren (Nelson). A most treasured grandmother to each of her seven grandchildren and loved great-grandmother to her eighteen great-grandchildren. At Jane’s request a private cremation has been held and a family celebration of her life will follow. Sincere thanks to the wonderful Oakwoods staff who cared for Jane so well.

The cards, flowers, visits and baking have meant so much to us. Thank you to the staff at Invercargill and Gore Hospital (where she had worked for thirty three years) for the last time. Thank you to the staff of Windsor Park in Gore for Dad’s wonderful care and support in the last years of his life. McLEAN, Keith Bedford:
Mary and the extended McLean families are humbled by and deeply appreciative of the support, care, consideration and sympathy shown to them during Keith’s final illness. In particular, we would like to acknowledge the staff at Dunstan Hospital; not only for the professional expertise and care shown to Keith, but also their thoughtfulness to us while we were with him. We are also aware of the difficulties and inconveniences due to distance, place, time and venue many of you faced and we thank you for that demanding effort. We must also apologise for forgetting to put an address in the newspaper notices! Your cards, phone calls, flowers and visits have been much appreciated, and while we would like to thank you all individually, for those whose addresses we do not know, please accept this as a personal acknowledgement. Finally, a sincere thank you to Marguerite Buckingham who led us so meaningfully in celebrating Keith’s life in the way he requested. We will let you know when a memorial plaque is unveiled at the McLean family plot in Invercargill Eastern Cemetery, as he also wished.
