BUTT, Phyllis Anne (nee Crisp) – 26/11/1944 – 22/8/2022:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, sister, gran and special friend. As with everything in her life, Phyllis fought her final battle with courage, dignity and a quiet inner strength that is an inspiration to us all. Wife and soulmate of Brian, beloved mother and mother in law of Nicola and Andy, Michael and Cass, and Jackie and Glyn, adored grandmother of Mikayla, Georgia, and Olivia, cherished sister and sister in law of Verna and Kingsley, Teddy, Neil and Ireen, Noel and Lois, Beverley and Richard, Pearl and Skip, Colin and Valda, Janice and Jimmy, and Vera and Ivan, special and much loved friend of Heather, Ryan, Henry, and Brooke, and a cherished Aunty to her many nieces and nephews, Phyllis passed away surrounded in love with those most special to her, her husband, children, and grandchildren. Peacefully on August 27, 2022 at the Longwood Care Home, Riverton, aged 89. Dearly loved wife of the late Gordon. Loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Alan and Barbara (Winton), Robyn and Rod Ruddell (Mosgiel), Julie and Phil Guttery (Otautau). Much loved Grandma of Jaime, Micheal and Kate, Ranee, Samara, Tennille and Brayden. Great-grandma of Oskar, Darcy, and Jimmy. A service to celebrate the life and times of Margaret will be held on Wednesday, August 31 at 1.00pm, in the Otautau Connect, Main Street, Otautau, followed by a private family interment at the Otautau Cemetery. Of Stewart Island. Died surrounded by family after a brave battle with cancer, aged 84. Loved and treasured by the late Jeanette, wife Donna Goomes, children Tony Gomez, Donna Fry, Doug Gomez, and their families. Loved brother of Wendy Hallett, Rosemary Taiaroa, Michael Goomes, Simon Gomez, and extended whanau. A service to celebrate Peter’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Wednesday 31 August at 11am. A memorial service on Stewart Island will follow at a later date. Heartfelt thanks to Southland Hospital and Hospice Southland for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be made at the service or online. Dearly loved wife and friend of the late Lance, much loved and respected Mum of David, Billie-Jo, and much loved Nannie of Eli, and Bessie. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law to the late *Dorothy and Bernard, *Fred and *Joan, Angela and Roland, Leslie and Carol, loved Auntie, cousin, and friend to so many. A service for Jenny will be held in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Traford Street, Gore, on Tuesday, August 30, at 3.00pm, private cremation to follow.
