At Southland Hospital on Tuesday, 21st February 2023, aged 75 years. Dearly loved, best friend, soul mate and husband of Lyn. Much loved father and father-in-law of Toni and Jason, Rebecca and Trevor Brown, Karen and Cameron Balian, & Paul and Nicola. Loved Grandad of all his grand and great grandchildren. Loved son of Jack* and Jessie*, loved brother of Neil.

FREW, Mervyn Norman:
It is with deep sadness Mervyn died tragically on Monday 20th Feb 2023, aged 78 years young. Deeply loved husband and best friend of Marie. Mervyn was the most devoted, charismatic, loyal Dad to Kris, Brett and Leticia, Dan and Steph. And the centre of his families world. Much loved and adored Pop to Asher, and Ryder; Luiza, and Emily; Charlee, Lexie, and Harriet. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Stewart Frew, Margaret Barron, John and Lynn Frew and the wider Russell family and all of Mervyn’s nieces and nephews. Mervyn will be deeply missed by his many friends. A great mate and genuine legend, taken too soon. A service to celebrate Mervyn’s life will be held at 1.30pm, Saturday 25th February at J Fraser and Son’s Chapel corner of Esk and Doon Street, Invercargill. Followed by a private cremation. HALL, Christian William Thomas:
Passed Peacefully in his sleep on Sunday 19 February 2023; aged 23 years. Dearly loved and cherished son of Reg and Simonne, much loved brother to Shilo and Azron, Portia, and Ayesha. Loved and treasured Grandson of Bev and Bill, Poppy and the late Fay
Raman, and John and Joyce Percy. Much loved by extended family and friends, and D.O.G, and Bom. Christian will be resting at home from Saturday for those who would like to visit and pay their respects. A service will be held for Christian in the Avenal Park

Passed away peacefully in the care of Longwood Care Home on Tuesday 21 February 2023; aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Rosanne, beloved father and father-in-law of Megan and Vaughan Templeton, Martin and Suzana, Bernie and Tim Asquith, Annie O’Connell and Mike McGarry, loved Grandad of Luke and Jen Templeton, Peter Templeton, and Rowan de Fonseca O’Connell, much loved great grandad of Isla.
