Macdonald & Weston will celebrate 100 years in business this Sunday, with an open day to the public including a barbecue and other giveaways.
The family owned and operated business was bought by Sharron Hanley in 2015, standing by her motto of integrity, compassion, and kindness.
A fully qualified funeral director, embalmer and stone mason, Sharron spent the past two years on the executive committee of the Funeral Directors of NZ.
She also achieved one of her dreams of becoming JP in late 2019 and brings a range of skills and experience to the funeral industry, as she walks alongside families in times of grief.
Come and meet the team and have a tour of the premises, along with a photo beside the 1947 Chrysler Windsor hearse on Sunday 17th March 10am – 2pm.
There will be spot prizes and giveaways and a chance to learn about what the business offers – because it’s more than just funerals. The team will travel to create a memorial service that is perfect for your situation. They also do casket lining and memorial headstones, and can take care of all your catering needs, flowers, and audio visual production through their subcontracted local companies.
The business has a devoted team of qualified specialists who are proud Southlanders and look forward to continuing the legacy of the Macdonald and Weston name.
