The HSBC Export Southland Gala Dinner will be held Friday 13 November at the Ascot Park Hotel.   The Export Southland Trust will host over 200 guests from export businesses and their supporters at the prestigious dinner.

This year’s Export Southland Awards Dinner will have an interesting new twist.

In lieu of the traditional biennial September Export Southland Recognition Awards, which is facilitated by the Southland Chamber of Commerce, the trust felt it was more appropriate to have an evening of networking and entertainment recognising the trials and tribulations of a difficult year, due to Covid-19.

The reimagined Gala Dinner will include the introduction of a new accolade – The Graham Dick Memorial Trophy in memory of the significant contribution the late Graham Dick gave as Trust Chairman over many years.  The inaugural recipient was Peter Beck aka ‘Rocket Man’ for his services to the export sector.

Presentation of the Export Southland Trust Grant was won by with local innovator John Dillon from Dillon Design being awarded $15k towards further overseas marketing and distribution of his Quick Release Saver – Hydraulic Pressure Relief Tool.
