Bluff will gather to celebrate the festive season on Sunday 10 December when the popular event, Christmas In The Bluff takes place.
A street parade along Gore Street will commence at 1pm before the focus turns to a massive Gala Day at the Oyster Festival site immediately afterwards.
The Gala Day looks set to be the best yet with activities and entertainment for everyone in a family friendly, alcohol free environment.
The children’s entertainment is all free and the Santa Grotto will definitely be a favourite. The opportunity to have a free photo taken with Santa will be available while there will also be a special Christmas photo booth where people can take photos with their own cameras and phones.
There is so much for the children to enjoy including mini jeep rides, astroball, bouncy castles, facepainting, games and competitions, there is even a jelly eating competition.
While the kids are having a ball the adults will have plenty to occupy themselves with. Craft stalls featuring a large variety of quality products, raffles and a chocolate wheel are just some of the attractions.
The very popular Decorated Christmas Tree Competition returns and there is still time for groups to enter by contacting Debbie at 212 6800 (work) or via the Christmas In The Bluff facebook page.
The trees are put on display at the venue with the public able to vote for their favourite by gold coin donation. The funds raised ensure that the committee can continue to provide free activities at the event.
There will be plenty of food, coffee and cold drinks available.
There is no entry fee to the festivities and no EFTPOS on site so do remember to bring cash for those purchases you wish to make. In keeping with the family friendly theme the site is also smoke and alcohol free.
