Armistice day today was marked in Invercargill this morning at bang on 1100hrs (11am) . Armistice Day goes back to the end of World War 1. Many, many Southlanders served in what was termed The Great War …On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. When the guns fell silent, we will remember . Mr Burn an RSA Member, Invercargill City Mayor Nobby Clark and Nigel Finnerty lay wreaths at the city cenotaph.
