Another Successful Year In Business For Young Reflections
Business news is presented by
Young Reflections owner Joy Brown is celebrating 31 years in business, with 20% off most things in store this week.
Generations of families have enjoyed purchasing gifts for family members from her store, including grandparents overseas.
It was much cheaper for people to shop at Young Reflections online from America, Australia and the UK, rather than try and send the gifts themselves.
“And with technology nowadays, you can still see the grandchildren opening their gifts,” she said.
Board games and puzzles are still as popular as ever, and now was the time to start thinking about Christmas presents.
While shipments out of Australia took the longest to arrive – especially books and sometimes up to 13 weeks on sea freight, Young Reflections is well stocked at the moment.
Joy is a keen believer in supporting local, and another service she offers is catering for children’s presents at Christmas work parties.
“We can select the gift, wrap it and put their name on it, all ready to pass onto the child. It’s becoming very popular.”
Young Reflections was once just a small shop in the 55 Arcade. The shop then moved to another spot in Tay Street and doubled in size, before finally establishing itself 10 years ago opposite Invercargill Central.
