Zen and Wellness Shop Joins in Windsor

Right next door to ComplEat Wellness in Windsor is the Little Shop of Zen – a complement to the range of healthy living products and services already on offer.
Leisa Cournane’s sister Maria has just arrived back in Invercargill to run the shop, after relocating from Western Australia with her partner and children.
Maria is a qualified Radiant Body Yoga teacher and will soon be offering sessions dedicated to breathing and balancing energy, watch this space!
Maria said this will be the beginning of a new journey for anyone wanting to reconnect using simple steps and sequences, to bring them into a more relaxed, supported & balanced state of being.
The Little Shop of Zen opened in late 2021 and stocks a range of ethical activewear, yoga accessories, hemp clothing, pre-loved clothing, zero waste jandals, as well as crystals and other feel-good goodies. Our goal is to tread more gently on Earth.
The sisters are currently looking for an artist (amateur or experienced), to bring a pop of vibrance onto the walls of the shop – where they can sell their work at no commission.
Formerly from Invercargill, Maria attended high school in the South before spending 13.5 years living in Australia, with the last six years spent in a remote community in WA.
“We left with a 6-month-old baby, a bag each and off we went.
“Returning to NZ wasn’t as simple as we had envisioned, we had many attempts to get our place in MIQ but always held faith it would happen and finally it did – so basically, we were off with about six weeks to prepare after what felt like a lifetime away.
“Now with 2 boys with and their Aussie accents it was time to embark on our new path – the final hurdle was MIQ that is a whole other story, mainly we know how very fortunate we feel to have made it back to NZ – our home.”
Windsor’s health and wellness sector has just doubled in size thanks to COVID-19 bringing two sisters back together in business, and for the benefit of the local community.
