The Invers teenager is taking a big leap on what promises to be a theatrical career full of opportunities.

The year 13 James Hargest High student has no sooner wound down from playing the lead role in the JHHS production of The Sound of Music to fly to London to learn more of the art of theatre at the Globe Theatre in London

The Globe is widely regarded as the home for productions of William Shakespeare.

The 18 year old has literally grown up in and around theatre starting in ballet then moving to theatre.

This year alone Drew McArthur has appeared in Shakespeare In The Park, Invercargill Repertory’s extremely demanding production of Equus and has just finished the Hargest season of My Fair Lady playing Captain von Trapp under the director of long time Invers theatre director Jonathon Tucker.
