Close to 500 people packed the Corinthian Centre last night to see SPW’s first flagship Live Event of 2019 ‘Fight for Gold!’
Despite other huge events going on in Invercargill that evening including the Zirka Circus and a two day Speedfest at Teretonga Park we were thrilled to see such an awesome turn out and continued support for Wrestling on the Edge of the World in Southland!
Fans were left breathless after seeing high risk stunts, high flying and huge risk taking in our Main Event of the evening that was a Fatal Four Way Ladder Match won by JK Moody!
Kane Khan defeated ‘Hooligan’ Marcus Kool to retain his SPW New Zealand Championship after the Hooligan tapped out to his Crossface submission!
Detention defeated Down to Fight to retain the SPW New Zealand Tag Team Championships in an exciting encounter full of twists and turns!
SPW announced their return to Invercargill on the 4th May for ‘Battle Lines’ which will be headlined by the returning Deadly Sins taking on Detention for the SPW New Zealand Tag Team Championships.
