In the latest of retail transformations in the local area, several businesses are reshaping the shopping landscape. Simply Special, a well-known giftware store located on Dee Street, has announced a closing down sale through their Facebook page, marking the end of an era for the beloved shop.

Meanwhile, the former site of Graham Williamson car sales at the corner of Dee & Gala Streets is gearing up for a fresh start. Evo Cycles, a New Zealand-owned bicycle chain will be setting up shop at this prime location. The store has already been actively recruiting through Trademe, indicating the upcoming opening.

In fashion news, Armoury Fashion Boutique is making a significant move from its current location at the corner of Esk & Kelvin Streets to the former Merric Clothing site on Esk Street. This relocation follows closely on the heels of the neighbouring bargain store, Hello Banana, which closed its doors in March.

Further down on Dee Street, Paper Plus has moved from its previous spot in the old H&J Smith department store to a new location next to E Hayes & Sons, officially opening on Wednesday, 10th April.

Adding to the retail mix, I Love Gadgets, a new mobile phone accessory shop, is set to open its doors under the Kelvin Hotel at the corner of Esk & Kelvin Streets, promising to be a go-to spot for tech enthusiasts.
