Sex therapy, post-mastectomy tattooing and cervical screening are just some of the services on offer at the ‘Joozh up your relationship’ women’s wellness evening in Invercargill on Wednesday November 23.
Co-hosted by Southern DHB, Cancer Society, National Cervical Screening and the Southland Respect Network, the event will provide access to women’s health services, including free and discreet cervical screening and sexual health screening.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to get your girlfriends together and have a fabulous evening learning about women’s health issues in a safe and fun environment,” says Southern DHB Cervical Screening Advisor and event coordinator Sue Smith. “It’s about creating a space for women to have open and frank discussion about topics they may not feel comfortable talking about elsewhere.”

As part of the evening, there will be presentations by Psychotherapist Clare Greensmith and Southern DHB Gynaecologist Katie Gabriel-Cox.
The event will also host a series of fun-filled activities including hair and makeup, a photo booth, remedial massage, henna tattooing, Polish Me Pretty Nails and much more.
“There will be a mix-mash of amazing health services that you can try,” says Sue. “Most importantly, if our guests walk away knowing how to keep themselves healthy, then we will be happy.”
‘Joozh up your relationship’ is proudly supported by Southern DHB, Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill Licensing Trust, Halcyon and Coco Bella and What’s On Invers.
