Woman Airlifted to Dunedin after Crash near Benmore

Solo occupant has been airlifted to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition after crashing her car into a tree and paddock in Benmore, Southland, on the Dipton-Winton Highway, north of Invercargill.

Police and St John ambulance crews  Dipton-Winton Highway shortly after 11am today.

One car had careened off the road and into a nearby field, leaving the driver with broken bones.
