The SBS Bank Southland Stags have named their side for a second pre-season hit-out against Counties Manukau in Auckland this Friday.

Kick-off at Manurewa Rugby Football Club is 11.30am on Friday July 24, with Sean Withy leading the side as captain.

The starting fifteen has Jack Barrett, Jack Taylor, Sef Fa'agase, Mitch Dunshea and Ale Aho in the front five, with Clem Halaholo and Withy joining Semisi Tupou Ta'eiloa in the loose forwards. Nic Shearer and Josh Jennings form the halfback-first five combination, with Tiam Toufan and Sam Mustchin in the midfield. Hayata Taniyama, Jay Reihana and Takaya Saito complete the backline.

Off the bench, the impact players are Jayden Henderson, Shaun Kempton, Jack Sexton, Darius Fidow, Kasaloma Ahokovi, Sloane Lankshear, Sam Fischli, Charlie Marsh, Koen Rarere and Justin Shaw.

It is the Stags' second pre-season outing for 2026. A decent gauge of where the squad sits before the Bunnings NPC gets underway.
