CHRISTIE, John Charles Andrew:
Born 10/11/1957, died 4/5/2024 after a short illness, with whānau at his side. He leaves behind his loving wife Debbie, his children and Mokopuna. John was the son of Norman and Marjorie Christie and brother to his five sisters, he will be dearly missed by his whānau whānui. A service celebrating John’s life will be held on Thursday the 9th of May at 1 pm at the Christian Centre, 165 Leet Street, Invercargill. Ka hinga te totara rangatira, moe mai ra, moe mai ra. Passed away peacefully at Peacehaven Village on Monday 6th May 2024, aged 86. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan. After a five year tough battle Nan peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, surrounded by her family. Loved high school sweetheart and wife of Geoff McMurdo. Mum to Jenane and Tegan, and Mum-in-law to Dylan and Steve. Her joy and pride was sparked from her mokopuna Georgia, Harlan, Hapai, Nola, Roman, Oakley, Raegan and Jack. Nan was a loved daughter of the late Sandy, the late Jessie and Marj and daughter-in-law of the late Marjory and the late Adam. She was a loved big sister and sister- in-law, Aunty and dear friend. She was a Nan or whaea to many extended whânau. According to her wishes a private cremation has taken place, with a plan to have road trip to allow her whânau to farewell her.
