CHIITOCK, Diane:
Suddenly, at home, on Tuesday, 26 December, 2023. Dearly loved wife of the late Chubby, loved Dad of Kelvin (Waikoikoi), Sharon
and Gary Montgomery (Sydney), Lyndon and Jaimee (Waikoikoi), and special Nana to Taysha and Lydah. As per Diane’s wishes a private cremation has taken place. Special thanks to Diane’s Frank Street neighbours for always looking out for her. Messages to 1487 Waikaka Valley Highway, RD5, Gore, 9775.

FAHEY, Peter Thomas:
Late, of Gorge Road and more recently of Calvary, Invercargill. Called home to God on 27 December 2023 surrounded by family and much love. Devoted husband of the late Maureen; dearest dad and father-in-law of Bernadette and Peter Campbell, Leo, Brendon and Heather, Douglas and Belinda, Terry, and Shaun; treasured Pop to his 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; beloved brother and brother-in-law of the late Bill and Maureen Fahey; Tony Fahey and special brother-in-law of Kathleen Fahey and Vera Shirley; caring uncle to his nieces and nephews; and respected friend of many.
Resting in Peace with his Lord.
A Rosary will be held at Calvary Chapel, 215 Centre Street, Invercargill on Thursday, 4 January, 2024 at 8pm. A Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Peter will be held at St Theresa of Lisieux, Perth Street, Invercargill on Friday, 5 January at 1.30pm, followed by a burial at Eastern Cemetery. Special thanks goes to all the wonderful carers at Calvary Rest Home and Hospital and in lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary would be appreciated. With broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Phil, surrounded by his loving family at Hospice Southland, on Saturday 30 December 2023, aged 67 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Karen. Much loved Dad of Nick and Rhi, Natalie and Lachy. Dearly loved Grandad of Ethan, Evan, and Emilia. Loved brother and brother-in-law of John and Lyn Rhodes, Ray and Karen Harpur, Murray and Merrilyn Harpur, Robert and Sandra Philpot. Beloved son of Gilbert* and Anne. Loved son-in-law of Ken and Shona Harpur. Dearly loved by all his nieces and nephews and friend to many.

A service to celebrate Phil’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 10.30am, on Friday 5 January 2024. Private cremation thereafter. No flowers by request, but donations to Hospice Southland would be gratefully accepted and may be left at the service. Phil’s wishes are to “Remember a celebration of a good life lived, so please wear bright colours”. Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Parata Rest Home, aged 98 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ted, loved mother and mother-in-law of Graham and Elza (Gore) and Lyn, the late David and the late Amy, Diane and Allen Hansen (Clyde), Neville and Pam (Waikaia) and Brenda (Waikaia), Colin and Liz (Wanaka). A service to celebrate Isobel’s life will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Traford Street, Gore, on Saturday, January 6, at 2.00pm, followed by afternoon tea at the Gore RSA Clubrooms. WATERS, Alan:
of Cromwell, passed away peacefully at Golden View Care, Cromwell, on Thursday December 28, 2023, aged 82.
First and last love of his wife Chris. Beloved Father and Boppa of Darren and Gina; Ryan and Karen; Amy and Jason, and their families. A service to celebrate Alan’s life will be held in the Cromwell & Districts Community Church, 10 Elspeth Street, Cromwell, at 11 00am on Friday January 5, 2024, followed by Interment in the Cromwell Cemetery.
