ALLAN, Deborah Ann (Deb) (nee McQuilken):
Of Lincoln, formerly of Queenstown. On April 24, 2023 at Christchurch Hospital, Deb passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by her loving family, having fought a courageous and inspirational 9-year battle with bowel cancer, in her 63rd year. Loved wife of Craig, loved Mum and mother-in-law to Thomas and Jenny (Auckland), Grace and Elly (Darfield), Frances (Frankie) and Cain (Timaru), and Hannah and Yuen (Dunedin). Adored Ma Deb to her Grandies – Harvey, Oakley, Peyton, Hudson and Hosea.
A celebration of Deb’s life
will be held at La Vida – Life Church, 34A Hansens Lane, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch, on Saturday, April 29, at 3.00pm. Livestream link to follow. BLYTH, Murray Norman:
Of Alexandra, formerly Invercargill. Passed away peacefully, Friday, April 21, 2023, aged 76. Dearly loved husband of Marj. Much loved father and father-in-law of Helen and Alwyn; the late Owen; Karen and Sean; and Lauren. Cherished Grandad of Mason, Nakita, Blyth, Kytana and Jessica. Loved brother of the late Norma and Peter, brother-in-law of the Ballantynes, Harris’s and Graham families and loved uncle. A celebration of Murray’s life will be held in Affinity Funeral Home, 143A Centennial Avenue, Alexandra, at 1.30pm on Friday, April 28, followed by a private cremation. Taken away from us suddenly on April 20, 2023, aged 43 years. Beloved dad of Cara, and Joe, and husband of Natalie. Dearly loved son of Carol and Bill Smith. Dearly loved lifelong partner and husband of Vanessa for 45 years, loved father of Rachelle, Karla, the late Ryan, Matt, and much loved Grandad of Violet. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Yvonne and Alan, the late Neil and Ginny, much loved son-in-law of Sylvia and the late Graeme Donaldson, and brother-in-law of Stirling, and the late Carson. A service for Owen will be held in St Margaret’s Presbyterian Church, Frankton, on Monday, May 1, at 11.00am, private interment to follow.
