DUNCKLEY, Penelope Christene (Penney) (née King):
Unexpectedly at her home on Monday, 17 th February 2025, aged 66. Dearly loved wife of the late John and much-loved mother and mother-in-law to Rex, Brian, Christene and Richie, Grandma to Tristan. Loved daughter of Trish and Doug King and sister and sister-in-law of Bruce and Ellen, Malcolm and Lyn, and Warwick. A loved aunt of all her nephews. A service for Penney will be held in Avenal Park Funeral Home, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Friday, 21 February at 10.30 am. The family would like to thank the First Responders for their care. McKENZIE, Owen Cowan:
Passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson Hospital (formerly from Myross Bush) on February 17, 2025, aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of Frances (nee Williams), loved Dad of John and Kathy, Joy Reddiford, Neil and Kaye (all Christchurch). Adored grandfather of Aaron and Eve, Melissa, Christopher and Rachel, Louise and Andrew, Claire and Tim, Sarah, Laura and Emma and great-grandfather of Jack and Harry. Youngest brother of Ferg and Ruth, Ron and Nalda, Ken and Em, and Betty and Brian (all deceased). Brother-in-law of Eric and Valmai, Rita and Angus, Doreen and Gordan (all deceased), and Les and Noel (Invercargill). Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

Special and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rowena Jackson Rest Home for their love, care and support during Owen’s time with them. A service to celebrate Owen’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Friday 21 February at 2pm followed by private cremation. 07.10.1950 - 16.02.2025, in his 75th year. Passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Loved partner of Margaret McDermott and loved husband of the late Margaret McLean. Dearly loved father and father in law of Malcolm & Corrina, Nicola and Stephen, Hamish and Toni, and the late Campbell. Dearly loved Grandad Jock of Lachlan, Holly, Kayla, Mandy, Olivia, Jess, Flynn, Bayden. Special friend of Gavin and Ruia, Nathan and Korena, and Tracey. Dearly loved Brother, Brother in law, Uncle and friend to many. A funeral for Alister will be held at Transport World, 491 Tay St, Invercargill on Friday 21st February 2025 at 1pm.
