GEDDES, Peter:
Of Balclutha. Passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025 at Marne Street Hospital, Dunedin. Beloved husband of the late Katherine and the late Morfydd. Father, father-in law and Grandfather of Paul, and Alexander; John, Janet, Ruby, Miriam, and Eliza; Mark, Anita, Luke, Zara, and Joshua; Stephen, Jucinda, Logan, and Renée. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Marne Street Hospital and Tuapeka Community Health for their compassionate care. A service to celebrate Peter's life will be held at St Mark's Anglican Church, Balclutha, on Wednesday, January 22 at 1.30pm. Peter's service will be livestreamed, and the link is available on Leishman Funeral Services website. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Neurological Foundation NZ would be greatly appreciated. GRANT, Gwenda Rose:
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gwenda on Tuesday, 14 th January 2025, in her 88th year. Much loved Wife of the late Ray Grant. Loving Mum and Mum-in-law of Karen and Robbie Chalmers (Invercargill) and Robert* Johnston, Noel and Loretta Grant (Wanaka), and Katrina and Stephen Braxton (Wrights Bush). A much-loved Nana and Grandma of Michelle, Grant, and Lisa Johnston, Matthew, Ashley*, Kelsey, and Luke Grant, and her 9 great grandchildren. JUKES, (Alexa) Gail – nee Barker:
After a courageous battle on Friday 10th January at hospice surrounded by her family. Loved & devoted wife of the late Keith.  Devoted Mum & Nana to Troy; Tash & Ben; Eva & Austin; Keira, Payton, Ryder & Xavier, Loved daughter of *Drina & *Bill Barker, and daughter in law of *Till & Eric Jukes, Loved sister & sister-in-law of Carol & Ray Watson, Kay & *Paul Galvin, Sandra & Alan Johnston, Sue & John Hishon, Vonnise & Jimmy Shirley Loved Aunty and Great Aunty to all of her nieces and nephews.  As per Gail’s wishes a private cremation has been held.  We invite everyone that wants to come and join us on Saturday 18 Jan From 1pm at Gail’s place to share stories. Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on, Sunday, January 12, 2025. Keith will be remembered by his loving family, son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren alongside his brothers and sisters. A service to celebrate Keith's life will be held at Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive Gore, on Friday, January 17, at 12.00pm, followed by interment at Charlton Park Cemetery. WITHEFORD, Margot:
Passed away on Thursday January 9, 2025. Wife for more than 50 years of Murray (deceased), loving mother and mother in law to Ben and Sharon, Jon and Carleen, Simon and Charlotte and Juliet and Stephen and adored Gran to Hannah, Caleb, Ryan, Fraser, Carter, Izzie, Livvie, Lillian, Jack and Charlie. Much loved daughter of Bernard (deceased) and Juliet (deceased) and sister of Dan, John (deceased) Paula, Nick, Dido and Annabelle.
Her humour, work ethic and love will always be remembered.
A service for Margot will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 2pm on Friday, January 17, followed by a private cremation. WOOD, Sylvia Dawn (Dawn):
Passed peacefully aged 83 with her family by her side at Rowena Jackson. Beloved wife of the late Noel. Loved mother of Graeme and Craig and mother-in-law of Karen. Loved Nana of Meleaha and Kiera. Cherished sister of Alex, Russell, Wilson, and Annette and their families. Loved daughter of Alex* and Hilda*. Great friend to many. A service to celebrate Dawn's life will be held on Friday 17th January, at The Intercultural Church of Invercargill, at 1 pm, Centre Street, followed by a burial at Eastern Cemetery. Special thanks to all the people who have cared for Dawn. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Cancer Society would be appreciated.
