COOPER, John Owen:
Of Lower Hutt, formerly Bluff (a proud Southlander). After a lengthy battle with cancer, John passed away peacefully on the morning of February 7, 2023, with his partner, Vivienne, at his side. Dearly loved by his children; Andrea, Shane, Jeremy and Benjamin, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dearly loved by his siblings Carole, Neville and Bev (deceased). John will be missed by many and may he now rest in peace with a glass of Vitamin W (aka Wine) waiting for him at the pearly gates. A private family memorial will be held for John, as per his wishes.

HAY, Susan:
Peacefully with her husband David at her side at Rowena Jackson Village, Invercargill, on Thursday, February 9, 2023. In her 67th year. Loved wife of David. Loved mum of Jonathan and Naomi (Japan), and Christopher (South Korea). Loved ‘Crazy Nan’ of Sophie and Kouki. Susan was a very special friend of Sue and John Donovan (UK). LANGE, Judy (Judith Margaret):
February 2, 2023, at Hospice Southland. Judy died of ovarian cancer with total dignity, poise and grace. Loved wife of Geoff, mother and mother-in-law of Kathryn and Serge, Chris and Michelle. Devoted Nana of Mischa, Fergus, Eddie, Vanya, Sasha and Katya. The Lange family extend our sincere thanks for the respect, love and extraordinary care given to us by our friends, extended family and the many medical professionals we have come into contact with. Judy has been faultlessly cared for by so many talented and thoughtful people over the last 6 years, but in particular, for Judy’s final few days, she had the good fortune to have been looked after by the outstanding Southland Hospice team. Thank you all, for your skillset and empathy. We are in awe of what you do and will be forever grateful. A farewell celebration for Judy’s life will be held at 2.00pm on Friday, February 17, at J. Fraser and Sons, Esk Street, Invercargill. Please ensure you are Covid free before attending.

Tragically, on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Aged 32 Years. Dearly loved and devoted Dad to Athena. Precious son of Debbie and the late David. A loved step-son to Dave Tose. Cherished grandson of Owen and the late Dorothy Horton and the late John and Elizabeth Main. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Rebecca and Dale Brook, Catherine and Craig Sutherland, and the late James. A fun Uncle JoJo to Josh, Lucas and Chloe Brook; Amelia and Ryan Sutherland. Jono will be sadly missed by his uncles, aunties, cousins and friends. Suddenly at home on Monday, 13th February 2023; aged 71 years. Beloved father and father-in-law of Nigel and Ngaire and brother and brother-in-law of Delma and Ernie Sands, dearly loved friend of Lynette Wilson, and a loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.
