On Friday 4th October, peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness in her 88th year. It is with much sadness that we share the passing of our Dearly loved and treasured wife of Neil, mum and mother n law of Doug and Karen, Stuart and Noeline, Lynn and Henry, Joanne and Paul, Kirsty and Aaron. Peacefully in the care of Rose Lodge Rest Home on Monday, 7 October 2024, aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Stephen. Loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Tony and Jo, Peter and Roz, Ricky and Christine, and Michael. Adored Grand and Great Grandmother of all the grandchildren. A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Friday 11 October at 2.00pm. The service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Asthma and Respiratory Foundation would be appreciated and maybe left at the service. Passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, at Longwood Resthome at Riverton on Friday 4 October 2024. Gail was the dearly loved daughter of Tom* and Pat* Te Au and sister to Kenneth*, Lyn* and Brenda Grace*. She was the amazing mother to her tamariki, Adam and Lana, the coolest nanz to her mokopuna Kiana and Tai, Max, Devon, Adam and Rose and beautiful great grandmother to Gavin and Poppy-Jo. A service to celebrate Gail’s life will be held at Te Rau Aroha Marae at Bluff on Friday 11 October, at 11am. All are welcome to attend. Interment at Greenpoint Cemetery will follow. We would like to sincerely thank the kind staff of Longwood Resthome for their loving care of Gail.
