From Riversdale, his hometown for 62 years. Brian passed peacefully at Southland Hospital with family by his side. Dearly loved husband of Jill, much loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Belinda, Ruth and Daryl McRae; step-dad of Sarah and Graeme, Stewart and Jools, Chrissie and Karin. Loved Grandad of Ruby, Amber, Hazel; Haidee, Duncan and Michelle; Josh, Caitlin; Corey, and Logan. Great Grandad and Poppa of Benjamin; Madison, and Archie. Eldest son of the late Margaret and Ivan Church, brother and brother-in-law of Helen and Derek McKinnel, Leslie and Johnny Farah-Church, Wendy and Terry Stevens, Robyn and Grant Calder and loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. You are invited to join us in a service to celebrate Brian’s life at the Riversdale Community Centre on Thursday 6th July at 2.00pm followed a private cremation. Peacefully at Elmslie House, Wanaka, on June 30, 2023, just before her 107th birthday. Dearly loved wife of the late Cyril, much loved father of Gary and the late Brenda, mother-in-law to Lillian and the late Danny, loved grandmother of Paula (Canada), Toni (Wanaka), Kerry (London), and the late Mark, and treasured great-grandmother of Heath and Reilly (Canada), Xander and Dani (Wanaka), and Ben and Ollie (London). Our deep gratitude to the staff at Elmslie for their exceptional care and kindness for over 15 years. A private cremation will be held, followed by a family celebration at a later date. 5.11.1935 – 30.6.2023 On Friday, June 30, 2023, superbly cared for by the wonderful team at Golden View Care Centre and lovingly supported by his wife Carol and children, Simon, Suzie and Guy and families. GILLIONS, Janice:
On July 1 2023, unexpectedly at Dunedin Hospital surrounded by her family. Dearly loved wife of Roy. Beloved daughter of the late Cyril and Alwin Smith. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Shelly-Rae (Dunedin), Aaron and Tania (Rotorua), Adrian and Rebeca (Tapanui), also loved grandmother of Nicola and Heath (Dunedin), Zachary, Rhys and Alyssa (Rotorua), Josie and Rylie (Tapanui).
