Treasured Taua and Taua-in-law of Carl, Damien (deceased), Danny (deceased), Peri, Amy and Clint, Bayley and Brandon, Laken, and Dan. Adored great-nana too many. Unexpectedly on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Charles Upham Village, Rangiora, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Bob Hicks of Stewart Island; much loved mother of Glenda and Murray and mother-in-law of Sandra (Christchurch); cherished Nanna of Katie and Great-Nanna of Cam and Liam (Healdsburg, California); cherished Nanna of Charlotte and Guy and Great Nanna of Izzy and Henry (West Melton). Loved sister of the late Margaret Holroyd and Lex Wilson (Oteramika, Southland). A service of thanksgiving for Mavis’ life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora on Thursday, April 6, at 10.30am.
