Passed away suddenly at home in Temuka, on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Dearly loved daughter of John and the late Margaret. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Derek and Tania, and loved aunty “cup” of Haley. A cherished niece, loved dearly by all her uncles, aunties and cousins. A treasured and respected Timaru District Library Manager, and a member of Library NZ and Australasia. The Memorial Service celebrating Adele’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the S.P.C.A or Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Peacefully surrounded by her family at Rowena Jackson on Saturday 29 April 2023; aged 85 years. Much loved wife of the late Ted Mortimer loved and best Mum and mother-in-law to Angela and Pete, Karen and Trev, Scot, Yvette, and Watson and Christine, dearly loved Nana Dear of Kim, Todd, Ginia, Amanda, Mac, Tiffany, Garrett, Michael, Thomas, Kayla, Jasmine, Caitlyn and her 13 great grandchildren. Loved daughter of Chas* and Alice* Archer, loved sister of Robin*, Rayna*, Linley*, Watson*, Nancy*, Jill and Alwyn*, loved daughter-in-law and friend of Lizzie* and Tedo* Mortimer, and sister-in-law to Denny* and Wattie* Muir, a loved auntie Hill to her many nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to Evelyn and the wonderful staff at Rowena Jackson who took such great care of Hilary for the last 6 years.
