Peacefully at Calvary Hospital on Sunday 22 October 2023, after a short illness. In his 93rd year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Phyl for 57 years, dearly loved and cherished father, father-in-law and friend of Ronnie*, Lynette, Dianne Bailey, Debbie and Grant Findley, Philip and Dawn (Christchurch), also the late Barry Bailey. Much loved and adored Grandad of Carla and Ricky, Caleb and Nikki, Monique and Sammy; Nathan and Merissa, Jarad and Gillian; Samantha and Quintin, Joseph and Natalie; Deanna, Hayley and Ken. Loved great Grandad of Paige, Abel, Georgia, Noah, Flynn, Lincoln, Hudson, Mila, Paigan, and William. Loved brother-in-law of Garth Drain and Murray Drain and a loved Uncle. At Peace, Perfect Peace. A service for Ron will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, 27th October at 1:30pm, followed by an interment at the Eastern Cemetery.
