(Formerly of Invercargill) Passed away after a long courageous battle on September 14, 2023 in Calgary, Canada. Aged 74. Loved husband of Susan, Dearly loved father of Ross (Montreal) and Christine, Shanon (Invercargill). Much loved Papa of Albie and August. Loved Son of the late Jack and Fay, Big brother of Neil*, Jen*, Jim, Anne*and Steve, and Uncle to his niece and nephews. Brian will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. Peacefully at Southland Hospital, on Thursday 14 September 2023, aged 76 years. Dearly loved husband of Annette. Loved stepdad to Aaron, and Tony Newman. Much loved grandad of Rakarna, and twins, Rhiannon, and Braedon. Brother and brother-in-law of Alan and Glenys Cooper, Anne and Robbie Jones, Ronald* Cooper, and Adrian Lillicrapp. Loved son of Dorrie* and Andy* Cooper. Special uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Missed by his special mate, Maddy. A service to celebrate Athol’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Tuesday, September 19, at 2.00pm; the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. Judith is devasted to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of her adored husband, Hoddy on Monday 18 September, 2023, aged 63. Loved and respected father of Joseph, Tony and Kylie. Much loved brother of Janice, Linda, and Susan. Loved son of the late George and Hazel, and son-in-law of Sylvia and the late Clive Paine. Loved grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. A service to celebrate Hoddy’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Thursday 21 September at 11am, followed by private cremation.
