Peacefully at Ascot Care Home on Saturday 30 September 2023. Dearly loved husband of Valerie, much loved father and father-in-law of Jennifer, Carol* and Paul, Neil and Shirlee, respected and much loved Grandad of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Friday 6 October at 2.00pm, private cremation to follow. BROCKLEHURST, Peter James:
It is with great sadness, after a hard fought battle Peter Brock passed away on Monday 2 October 2023 at Bupa Ascot Care Home. Loved husband of Astrid, loved father of Jo and Dude, Emma and Jack, and Jon and Sarah, treasured Poppa of Elisha, Georgia, Jordan, and Wati. A special thanks to the staff of Bupa Ascot Care Home for their wonderful care of Peter. A memorial service to celebrate Peter’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Thursday 5 October at 2.00pm. Sadly, passed away on Monday 2nd October 2023. Loving wife of the late Percy Kara and loving mother and mother in-law to Faith and Buffy Hauiti, Mark and Lena Kara, and Michelle. Cherished Nan to all her mokos. June is resting at the Te Oruanui Marae, 21 Hastings Street, Ohai all are welcome to visit, this is where her service will be held on Saturday, 7th October at 8:30 am. The service will conclude with the burial at Wairio Cemetery at 10:00am.

Passed away peacefully at Peacehaven Village, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday 29th September 2023, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of Lex for 73 years. Loved daughter of Vernon and Gladys Freeman. Much loved mother of Sandra, Fraser and Alistair (Ernie). Loved mother in law of Brian* Walker and Judith. Loved grandmother of Richard and Kat Walker (Norway), Sara and Peter Evans (Christchurch), Allan McRae and Christine Brownridge (Brisbane), Graham and Katie McRae (Invercargill), Robert McRae (Gore), and Susan and Bryce Sykes (Cambridge). Loved Great grandma of Isla, Elias, Isabel, Kiran, Felix, Eddie and Lachie.
