It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Bert on the 30th of December 2023. Beloved husband of Zwaan. Loved Father and Father-in-law of Liena and Wayne, Ebel and Maxine, Wilma and partner Martin. Loved Grandad and Opa of his six grandchildren and their partners, and Great-grandfather and Opa of his ten great-grandchildren. Also loved by all his family in the Netherlands. Thank you to the Medical Ward Doctors and Nurses at Southland Hospital and Hospice. A private service was held on the 3rd of January 2024. McMURDO, Keira Elizabeth (Bubba):
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Saturday 30 December 2023, aged 8 years. Dearly loved daughter of Sascha and Logan. Grandaughter of Kris and Celeste, Quentin, Gub and Robyn. Treasured niece of Rebecca and Richard, Danielle, and Cody. Special thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Children’s Ward, Southland Hospital for their care of Bubba. Loved brother and brother-in-law of John and Lyn Rhodes, Ray and Karen Harpur, Murray and Merrilyn Harpur, Robert and Sandra Philpot. Beloved son of Gilbert* and Anne. A service to celebrate Phil’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 10.30am, on Friday 5 January 2024. Private cremation thereafter.
