23.9.1941 - 23.9.2024. Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Monday, September 23, 2024. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Monica,married for 60 years. Dearly loved father of the late Kieran. Loved eldest son of the late Russell and Lilly Laurie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Joan* and Rangi Rickard, Stanley and Judy Laurie, and Isobel and Maurice Green. Loved son-in-law of the late Nellie and Bill Burke and loved brother-in-law of the Burke family. A Loved uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held in the Waiau Town and Country Club, Tuatapere on Friday, September 27 at 1.30pm. Interment at the Tuatapere Cemetery to follow. Peacefully passed away at Southland Hospital on Tuesday 24th , September 2024, aged 75 years. A loving daughter of the late Rhona and Ray Swain. A loved mother of Darrell, Tama, and Karla*. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother of Alisha, Tyler, and Sara, Sienna, Joziah, and Jonah. Loved aunty of her many nephews and nieces. Passed away peacefully at Calvary Hospital on Monday 23 September 2024, with his dearly beloved wife, Norma at his side, two days short of his 81st birthday. Much loved father and father-in-law of David and Melissa (Melbourne), Helen and Nigel Mosely (Blenheim), and Andrew Roberts (Invercargill). Special grandad of Emma, and Max Wilkey; Anna, Karen, and Liam Roberts.
