With sadness we announce her graceful departure, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Much loved wife and friend of the late Bob, treasured Mum of Paul and Rochelle Pomare, Louise and Michael Stevenson, Kirsten and Bill Moore, adored Nan of Sam, Charlie and Lauren Stevenson; Fletcher and Renee Pomare; and Lila and Morgen Moore. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Mike and Kay Hislop. A service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be held in the Riversdale Community Centre, Berwick Street, on Saturday, March 23, at 1.00pm, followed by private interment. A service to celebrate Katarina’s life will be held in the Southland Crematorium Chapel, Rockdale Road, Invercargill, on Saturday, March 23, at 1.30pm. Katarina will be resting at her home, 283A Queens Drive, Invercargill, from lunchtime, Friday, March 22 (on what would have been her birthday) until her service on Saturday.
