DUNCKLEY, Penelope Christene (Penney) (née King):
Unexpectedly at her home on Monday, 17 th February 2025, aged 66. Dearly loved wife of the late John and much-loved mother and mother-in-law to Rex, Brian, Christene and Richie, Grandma to Tristan. Loved daughter of Trish and Doug King and sister and sister-in-law of Bruce and Ellen, Malcolm and Lyn, and Warwick. A loved aunt of all her nephews. A service for Penney will be held in Avenal Park Funeral Home, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Friday, 21 February at 10.30 am. The family would like to thank the First Responders for their care. SHALLARD, Lois (Nee Hamilton):
Of Gore, it is with much sadness that we wish to advise the passing of Lois, on Tuesday, 18 February 2025, at Southland Hospital, aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Chris and Jenni, Blair and Sharon, Sandra and Adrian, loved Nana of Max, Eddie, Sophie, Luke, Jonas, Magnus, and Freyja. Dearly loved sister of Athol* and Gwen*, Neville* and Margaret, and twin sister of Janice and David Stewart. A loved Aunty of her nieces and nephews. A service for Lois will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Traford Street, Gore, on Monday, 24 February, at 11am, private cremation to follow. Donations may be left for St John Ambulance. In celebration of Lois’s life, the family ask if colourful clothing could please be worn at the service. STRONACH, George Maxwell (Max):
Passed away peacefully in the loving care of his family at home, on Saturday February 15, 2025. Dearly loved husband of Nancy, loved dad of Julian and Debbie, Amanda and Owen, much loved son of the late Irene Wybrow. A service to celebrate Max’s life will be held at the Gore Town and Country Club Stadium, 2 Bury Street, on Friday February 21 at 2.00 pm, followed by a private cremation.
