At Queenstown, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, aged 44 years. Dearly loved and cherished daughter of Liz (Geraldine), and Peter (Gore), much loved Mum of Asher, and Ryder, loved sister of Belinda, and the late Grant, and Auntie of Isla Sutherland, and wife of Kris. Missed by all her wider family and many friends. Private cremation. A memorial service for Suzie will be held in the Lake Hayes Pavilion, Queenstown, on Thursday, April 13, at 1.30pm. Our heartfelt thanks to Queenstown Police, Search and Rescue teams, friends and the public who assisted in the search which brought Suzi back to us. KIRKER, Pauline Annette (née Omelvena):
(Of Five Rivers) In the early hours of Thursday, April 6, 2023. After a very long battle Pauline finally got the sleep she needed with husband Lindsay, brother Garry and sister Jacqui right by her side at Southland Hospital. Much loved and cherished wife of Lindsay for 45 years. Beyond treasured Ma of Jodi and Clint and Katt and absolutely adored Nana of Ashton, Dane and Trent. Loved daughter of Jack* and Connie*, sister of Doreen*, Bob, Ron, Garry, Jacqui and Linda. Special sister to Colleen. Aunt Polly to her many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Finally able to breathe easy again.
A service to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held at J Frasers and Sons Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Friday, April 14, at 11.00am. Interment at the East Winton Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to St John Ambulance can be made at the service. Brian passed peacefully at the Southland Hospital on February 7, 2023, with Ruth and Melissa at his side. Brian was just so tired and worn out, he wanted to go. It was his time. Brian’s family, Ruth, Fergus, Stephen, Bev, Melissa, Kaylee, Greg, Rebecca, Tait, Logan, and Jack want to give special thanks to Doctor Jo Krysa, Dunedin Hospital Ward 4, and her team for your many years of care you gave Brian. Also, the Dunedin Hospital Doctors and team Ward 7, many thanks to the Southland Hospital and St. John’s who took care of Brian many times. Special thanks to Mrs. Alice Febery who gave Brian three more years he never wasted. To the Christchurch Hospital, St. John’s and the fire brigade, thank you for your kindness. To Brian’s mates and friends, if you didn’t phone him or call in, he would phone you. We thank you all very much. Thank you for the flowers, cards, and baking.
