It is with great sadness Derek’s family wish to advise of his passing on Thursday, 2nd May 2024 at Rowena Jackson Retirement Home, aged 86 years. Much loved husband of the late Thelma Frances Angus, nee Hazley. Cherished and loving father and father-in-law of Debbie and the late Bruce Reinke, Robyn and Ross Wilson, Hamish Angus and Sinead Mulhern. “The best grandad in the world” to Aleisha Reinke, Andrew and Liam Wilson, and Isla, and Shae Angus. A dearly loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the generous support of Dawn Acker and the wonderful staff at Rowena Jackson Retirement Home for their care and attention initially in the Edinburgh wing and latterly the Salsbury Wing. A service to celebrate Derek’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Wednesday 8th May at 02.00 pm. Followed by refreshments and a time for sharing. Passed away in Dunedin Hospital on Monday 29/04/2024. Beloved Husband of Tania, Loving Father of Joe & Jamie. Stepfather to James and Josh. DOBSON, David Lewis (Lewis):
Lewis passed peacefully in his sleep, at his beloved home in Te Anau on Monday 29th April 2024. Dearly devoted to and loved husband of the late Patricia Mary (Pat). Adored and adoring father and father-in-law of the late Terri-Belinda Dobson and Lynley and Dallas Gray. A respected and much-loved member of the Dobson, O’Connor and Gray families both in New Zealand and overseas. Son of the late Stan and the late May Dobson (ex Fairlie, Levels, Timaru), brother of the late Lynley and late Don Welton (USA) and their extended family in America who loved him dearly. A very good friend to many. Best buddy and hugely missed by his constant companion Tala.
