A Memorial Service will take place to celebrate the lives of George who passed away on February 26, 2024, and Rena his much loved wife who passed away on August 15, 2022 (both late of Millers Flat). Slipped away peacefully, at Resthaven Village, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, aged 88 years. Devoted wife and friend of Mervin for 65 years, loved Mum and mother-in-law of Heather and Graeme Stuart, Blair and Sue, special Nana of Micheal and Sonya, Melanie Shepherd, Sean and Steven, Far away Nana of Gilby, Logan, Cienna, Trinity and McKenzie Shepherd; and Addison Dyer, and Nana Bell of Hunter, Sophie, Ella and Carter. Special friend of Andrew Shepherd. In accordance with Isobel’s wishes a private family service will

Passed peacefully on Friday 1 March; in his 97th year. A beloved husband of the late Mavis, dearly loved dad of Ken and Carol Swinney, Sandra and Peter Bunce, Heather Gray and Bruce McRae, Robyn and Richard Conroy. Treasured Grandad of Sian, Leith; Shelley; Kerry, Rachelle, Melissa; Sarah, Jessica, and Jamie, much loved and very cheeky great grandad to all of his great grandchildren. Special thanks to the team at Cargill Rest Home for their loving care of Dad and also to Clare House who nursed Dad in his final weeks. A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Thursday 7 March at 1.00pm. A private interment will follow.
