Phyllis passed peacefully on the 11th April 2023, at Southland Hospital, in her 94th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Mervyn. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Lindsay and Sheryl, Neville and Trish, Geoffrey and Julie, Nigel and Jayne, and the late Bronwyn. Loved Grandma of her 14 grandchildren and their partners and 23 great grandchildren. At her request, a private graveside service for Phyllis has been held. CLEAVER, Margaret Rose (nee Scobie):
Peacefully at Calvary Hospital on Wednesday, 19 April 2023, aged 81 years. Loved wife of George for 61 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Helen and Alan Sawyer (Waikouaiti), Graeme and Olga (Kent, UK), Bronwen* Walker, Christine (Chris) and Carl Middlemass, Wayne and Natasha (Dunedin), Elizabeth (Liz) and Ben Cook (Kaitaia). It goes without saying Rachael from Frasers you are a true rockstar – you enabled Goobs final farwell to be a true tribute to the man he was – Thank You! Sharyn Payne where do we start, who would have thought 2 weddings and 1 funeral within 6 months (Goob certainly did) but you made it happen with grace and love and we the team of 5 are truly grateful to you. Brett and our extended Open Country Family there are no words, your ongoing support and love and all you have done for our family is truly appreciated so much more than you will ever know .
