Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday January 18, 2024. Beloved husband of Colleen, Loved father and father-in-law of Rex and Anne-Marie, Neil and Mhel, Darren, Vicky and Trevor Forde. Loved Grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren NZ and Australia. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Alwynne and *Lenny McWilliams, *Murray and Elen, Harold and Gloria, Ian and Judy. Passed away peacefully on January 18. Dearly loved wife of the late Trevor and loved mother of Allan (along with partner Betty) and the late Elizabeth. WATSON, Alan:
After a short illness, Alan passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Gail for 51 years. Loved and cherished father and father-in-law of Lance and Belinda (USA), and Natalie and Daniel Rosel. Treasured and adored Poppy of Vanessa, Faith, Mya, Stephanie and Phoenix, and great Poppy to Eli, Arlo, TeAria and Naveah. Alan was a loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Family wish to sincerely thank the staff of Southland Hospital Medical Ward for their care and compassion of Alan and his family. A Celebration of Alan’s life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 10.30am in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. A private committal will follow. Raymond passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Friday, January 12 2024, aged 65 years. Eldest son of Norman* and Fay Weaver. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Lester and Leanne, Kerry and Roger Wolf. Loved uncle of Bryce, Kiera, Aidan, Caleb and Holly. A service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, 24 January 2024 in the East Lounge at the Invercargill Working Men’s Club, Esk Street, Invercargill. Peacefully at Kew Hospital on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Dearly loved husband of Edna, loved father of Geraldine and Raymond, and loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Our gratitude and thanks go to medical and nursing personnel in both Dunedin and Kew Hospitals for their care and compassion during Harry’s illness. Neil’s family wish to express their appreciation to everyone who showed their love and support during his short illness and death. We were overwhelmed and humbled by the many flowers, visits, phone calls, cards and gifts of food. Thank you to everyone who attended his funeral and burial. It was so good to see so many people who have been part of our lives in many ways. We were sorry that we didn’t get a chance to speak to you all. Thank you to our friend Ruth Spain and Rachel Oxley who supported us during Neil’s last days at Kew Hospital and Hospice Southland. Our thanks also to Deb Shirley, Allison Kidd, Ngaire Cameron and Ross Thomson who helped make Neil’s farewell such a memorable one. We feel very blessed and will be forever grateful to you all.
